1. Information Collection and Device Sensors
The Compass app accesses your device's internal orientation and magnetic hardware sensors solely to calculate and display real-time compass directions locally on your screen. Sensor data is processed entirely on your device and is never saved or transmitted to external servers by our app.
If location permissions are granted, location data may be used locally to calculate true north heading or by third-party advertising networks to serve location-relevant ads.
2. Advertising & Third-Party Services
We use Google AdMob to display advertisements within the app. To serve ads, measure ad performance, and prevent fraud, Google AdMob and its advertising partners may collect and process certain data, including:
- Device identifiers (such as Advertising ID or Android ID)
- IP address and approximate coarse location data
- App performance and diagnostic metrics (such as ad crash logs and impressions)
3. User Consent & Privacy Choices (GDPR / US State Laws)
We integrate Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to manage user consent in regions subject to privacy regulations (such as the EEA, UK, Switzerland, and applicable US states).
Depending on your region, you will be presented with a privacy choices dialog upon launching the app. You can choose whether to consent to personalized advertising, non-personalized advertising, or manage individual vendor preferences. You can update or revoke your privacy choices at any time through the Privacy Settings menu inside the app.

The app developer does not directly collect, store, sell, or rent any personal information.
